Dr. Valentina Kachanovskaya grew up in Saint Petersburg, Russia where she lived until she graduated from high school. After obtaining an International Baccalaureate degree from the acclaimed United World College, Dr. Kachanovskaya attended Hood College in Maryland, a liberal arts school that granted her a double degree in Economics and Mathematics, cum laude. Dr. Kachanovskaya obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Arizona, with emphasis on Applied Microeconomics (the study of individual markets), Econometrics (use of statistics to describe economic systems), Labor Economics (study of employment, wages, income and life cycles) as well as Public Policy.
Dr. Kachanovskaya has the theoretical knowledge of economic theory, practical experience with the most recent empirical methods and teaching experience that make her analysis precise and her explanations clear. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Russian. Her knowledge of advanced estimation methods and familiarity with the labor market data as well as her knowledge of civil litigation make Dr. Kachanovskaya the perfect economic litigation expert who can explain complicated matters to the attorney, judge and jury in clear and simple ways.
Dr. Kachanovskaya currently resides in Tucson, Arizona and offers economic consultation services throughout the Southwestern United States.
